VortexDNA Strengthens Statistical Team

Christchurch, NZ August 3, 2009. VortexDNA has added two members to the statistical team, strengthening its core predictive data capabilities. The considerable international experience of Mark Sunderland, Statistician, and Sini Hakola, Assistant Statistician, will increase the company's reputation for enhancing some of the world's most established predictive models.

Mark has experience with economic analysis and prediction as well as a through academic understanding of economic statistics. Before joining VortexDNA, Mark was involved with the economic analysis of time series. This involved collecting macroeconomic data, clarifying data discrepancies he detected, and analysing interrelationships between sectors of the economy.

Sini's experience lies in social science statistics. She completed her Master's of Social Sciences at the University of Turku in Finland. Her Master's thesis of ROC analysis involved a practical application using a data set provided by Christchurch urologists and analysed in conjunction with the University of Otago, Christchurch.
